About we prepared for them,
looked forward,
got excited even
then they came,
happy and relaxed,
we chattered, walked
by the creek,
a black snake
in the autumn sun,
warmed up for winter,
.....my thoughts
are for people who
don't pretend, how sad
so many just can't
be themselves, worse,
perhaps they are, oh god,
is that all there is? or,
if I poke about,
will I find untold treasures,
...make you feel
uncomfortable or out of place...
must go now, take care,
thank you, see you again,
next year, bye.....back to the quiet
uneasy place where 'now' is
under threat from the eternal
illusion of what might....
have been or be.

....I agree, what the hell would we know!!....made up the 'about' as I went along, maybe you're right, there could be a song there.....but then again? cheers, david.

Scott, thank you for looking at 'intervention', the image is nothing flash and so, may not be worth messing with but it did strike me as a good 'backdrop' for my thoughts at the time and so the 'about' that accompanied it came into being.....I'm sure nobody else needs to understand it but then again some might, who knows? it's a bit of fun isn't it.......had a quick look at your portfolio.....you take a lot of trouble to present your work, good compositions, I'll need to go back and have a proper look. cheers, david.

Not sure cropping the bottom is going to give this 'power'. While Scott may certainly have a very valid point in his suggestion, I just can't see it (but what the hell would I know, eh? ). Love the backlighting and the hint of spider web between the tips... Nice work David. Do you write poetry, or is this lyrics to a fav song...?

I like the idea here ,would like to see more detail in upper right corner of leaf,Also crop off some of the bottom to give it some power.
