Thanks again Gary. I understand completely about saturation - it's very easy to get carried away in Photoshop and it works for some pictures and not others. Personal taste is something that varies dramatically, even among judges. I have one picture (haven't submitted here yet) that won Photo of the Month at one contest site and can't even win Photo of the Day at another. Go figure . . .

Hi David... I do like this one better even though it's only very subtley lighter. I used to prefer the really saturated photos, but I find that it can be overdone. But again, I think it comes down to personal taste rather than which one is better, and I am certainly no expert critic! And thanks for the comment on my photo. Cheers, Gary

Great shot, David. Good perspective looking down the dock like that and the overall composition is well done. Might be just a shade on the dark side, but that's more just personal taste really. I'm sure they'd love a copy. Cheers, Gary
