I just linked this from Kes' spider ~ I love your granddaughter's expression ~ she is one brave little girl ~ I'd rather face a grizzly than be that close to it ~ even though he/she has pretty markings ~ LOL!

Fabulous details, gorgeous colours, superb dof and an incredibly brave and pretty young girl. Yes I know they make good pets but they are still in the bottom section of least favourite thingies. Well done Dole, superb capture....now go and rescue that lovely little granddaughter of yours:):):) Cheers.....Ray

No worries Nessa . . . the world is a busy place and I have come to learn that people are busy too. You're not late in your comments (and, therefore, need not apologize); you're simply taking your time (to better appreciate the atistry ...) - ;) Ok, my creative thinking is showing . . . it's a guy thing!

Well,it was a little joke, I know that..I suppose that ..it is just a curiosity how brave Cydney is..if I saw this small "insect" I would be quite scared, but as you say it is something like a "pet" and then it's a little understandable..
Regards
M.

Meldi . . .
No need to give the little beauty a gift . . . she's thrilled to make grandpa happy and more thrilled to show off her bravery. Besides - I already give her anything she asks for!

Hi doyle,
Thanks for the explanation. I wrote "domesticate" for lack of a better word in English. What I understand now, after your explanation, is that it's the "demosticater" who has to adapt.

Thanks Selami! She's come a long way in a short time . . . she was once scared of spiders . . . maybe she still is (but not of Plato--this spider's name). Appreciate the comment.

Yes Doc . . . this is the (now) famous Plato. I'm not sure it's possible to domesticate arachnids, but if you keep it well fed and don't scare it you're fine. They bite for food or self defense only.

Doyle I <-----

A great impish smile you captured here, Doyle. Adorable granddaughter in an unusually provocative photo. I see the spider stars in other photos of yours (Plato.) Is it domesticated?
Sorry to have caused inconvenience with my "Ice cream" although I must admit I was playing with the idea of aiming at the ice cream cone exclusively, the selective focus being more or less deliberate.
Thank you for your congrats on my being given "Critique of the day."
Best regards,
Rafi
