It is interesting that you should point out the apparent lack of animals and people in this shot. I hadn't noticed it before, but you are right. While setting the shot up I was dodging chickens and ducks everywhere; the duck pen with the door open is on the left, where their water is; they had been in and out of there all morning long. Good observation, but certainly not chosen by this dense photographer! Thanks for the comments, Nick. Always appreciate your encouragement. Anson

A somehow enigmatic photo not only because of the irreal lighting but also because of the deserted scene. It looks to me just as if something happened that completely changed that place. And with that huge DOF it looks even more mysterious!

Excellent work!

Paolo: Thanks for such kind compliments about this photo. I did not use a plugin but only slight color correction in CS2, to eliminate some of the overall blue tint. The camera was set at 2700 white balance, or a custom WB by shooting bright plant foliage. Tint in the CS2 converter was at -88. That's all. Anson

An immediately striking picture Anson. The colours, tones and clarity. I really like the shadows being captured. So atmosheric, full and intriguing.

I like so much this shot Anson because it isn't easy to do it with this high quality.
I like wood effect and also there is a lot details to emphasize the whole.
Relly elegant to frame by using leaf the scene in the first third.
Only a question: didi you used any plugin in post production or did you set camera parameters or both?
My best compliments
