Thank you, Larry. All sides of the “Cloud Gate” are perfect candidates for fish eye shots. Unfortunately there was a lot of scaffolding around that night due to some polishing work they were doing. I want to go back soon to take more photos.

Great choice of the fisheye, Jurgen. A marvelous shot. Larry.

Thank you for commenting, Kambiz. I have this mysterious light and sky color a lot in the city at night.

Thank you for visiting and commenting, Salvatore.
And you are absolutely right. I would generally have used a tripod and lower ISO, but this was “a lucky find” and I did not have the tripod with me. Also, they were doing last minute polishing work and there was a lot of scaffolding around. They are done now and I hope to go back soon with my tripod.
Even the next best thing to a tripod did not exist … a lamp post. I sometimes do long exposures by “hugging a lamp post” and holding my breath. Take a look at the 1.3s shot at http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=715177
Thanks for the comment again, Jürgen

Thank you for your comment, Bart.
They were working on the “Cloud Gate” and there was a lot of scaffolding at the area where the city reflections would be most effective. I’ll hope to go back soon and will take up your recommendation of shots just of the bubble.

Wow! Unlike anything. My only critique... I'd have taken this one with a tripod at a lower ISO, a minor critisism to be sure. Really creative and gorgeous. Well done. Sal

Fabulous shot! The reflection in the ball alone would make another terrific cityscape.

Wow! Wonderful night picture. I love all the lights. Things always look so much more interesting at night.
