About an early morning view of John Hancock Tower in Chicago from the Sofitel Hotel, with moonrise over Lake Michigan. I used CS2's lens correction feature to remove the keystoning my Canon 27mm lens put on this shot and curves adjusted as well.

Yeah, it's a pricey hotel. We got a break on our price becuase of a connection with the architect (this is the only building in the US that Jean-Paul Viguier has designed...until now. He's designed the new wing to the McNay Art Museum here in San Antonio).

It was a HUGE 18th-floor window view. Just stunning.

Really like your capture of the early am light.

I have never seen this exceptional view before with the lake in the background.

Bill

PS Is this a $300-a-night view or a $600-a-night suite view? Awesome.

Early morning? By nature, no at ALL.
Only when I'm on the road (or on vacation) that I'll leave the drapes open, and the lightening dawn sky wakes me. This awesome view was silentlyl enjoyed by me and Margaret for some time.

Beautiful and very dramatic. The dark masses play well against that great skyscape.

All the best,
