Dear Dave, a very nice shot but slightly dark on my monitor. I saw your comment on monitors above and a good friend of mine who shoots International Travel for Getty Images swears by Eizo monitors ( www.eizo.com ) he's an equipment expert and uses all mac g5's , g4 powerbook laptops and the $7,000 Canon Digital bodies + all "L' lenses. All my equipment is G5 or G4 17" powerbook and just picked up a 23" HD MAC for the G5 which is just wonderful. I'm not an equipment nut but enough of my Pro friends swear by the same stuff so I follow their lead. Good job, Mark

Great American landscape, well framed and presented. Like a postcard almost.

A Very srong composition and beautiful tones. Critical exposure to retain the fine details of the dark subject as well as the correct hue of the bright blue sky. Excellent!

Couldn't help but say....I ALWAYS have to wonder what my images look like on other peoples' monitors! They are all so different, I think the exposure is OK, just probably could lighten the midtones with levels just a TAD...but still...it does look good! L:)

Thank you. I grappled with the idea that it may be underexposed but I also considered how it looked on my monitor. At one angle it looks okay. At another, it looks terrible. On my laptop, none of my pictures look correctly exposed. It's hard to judge how certain pictures will look on various monitors.
One thought always crosses my mind in trying to judge my own photos and that is proper screen adjustment as well as using the best monitor with which to view photos on. Niether of which I have had time to explore.
Appreciate the critique!
Best wishes, Dave
