About During the summer vacation of 2002, we spent almost two weeks on a tiny camping at the shore of Loch Shiel in Scotland. For the biggest part of those two weeks, we were the only campers there. It was really nice to get to know a small stretch of landscape quite well and see it in so many different conditions and just to try shooting it at its best all the time. This photo was shut at a beautiful sunrise. My eyes were still sort of glued shut because I just crawled out of my tent and started shooting.

Arthur,

Another great one that just sucks you right in- your starting to dominate my favorite list.

Thanks also for taking the time to give some background on the photos- I am another who prefers a tent in the wilds to a stuffy hotel room when roaming around, and it's nice to know the setting for an image.

Wonderful! Only 2 shots on the site and they are both excellent. There is so much talent on this site it makes me feel insecure.

Gorgeous image! The lines are great, the fence coming in the line of the rocks, the far away shore line. And the colors! Very well done!

Being of Scotish origin, I visited there often. I was actualy near there but never visited. (Guess who's kicking himself now)..

The photo is excellent. The fence does make the image, but the rocks on the shore and the sky also really add to the great composition in this photo. Very nice.

It's the line of fence posts that makes this one cut above the norm.

Excellent capture, I love it

What a lovely shot - the colours and reflection are beautiful, and the fence really makes it :)

Very nice. Right place at right time. The rocks in foreground make it nicer. I guess composition is the word.
