Thanks Reynaldo for your encouraging comments.Sometimes I think that my pix are too simple compared to what I see here;it is gratifying that at least some people like them.'M' is not I,but my wife !

Thanks,Andy(that's my nickname too !) and Elongoavan.I did use a soft focus filter.The lighting was undiffused window light.I agree about the reflector.

Nice portrait. Just to improve a couple of suggestions -IMO, you want to keep the eyes in sharp focus and make it soft effect, use a soft focus filter. Maybe open up the shadow with a small reflector - but it is just a personal preference.

This is a wonderful portrait. I like the contrasts and shadows a great deal. I also think in this case the soft focus works quite effectively. My only suggestion in the future would be a slightly different angle of that one of her eyes isn't partially lost in the shadows, but I think this is still marvellous. Well done.
