Thanks for your comment Chelsea. I agree on your eye nit, and may work to bring it out. I kind of like the silhouette presentation of the head and decided against more manipulation, but.... Regards. Tim

Thanks Gayle. This was taken in very dark, foggy conditions and I really wanter to preserve the moody atmosphere. Your "Asian aesthetic" reference is much appreciated. I'm a huge fan of same. Thanks for looking! Tim

I like the moody effect of this one, just like a typical cloudy winter day. My only nit is that I'm wanting to see the eye of the bird a bit more, my attention is drawn there, and I can't quite see it.

hi there, this is a cool comp...love the desat which works well here...maybe a bit more contrast unless was shot in foggy conditions....i like the highlights on the berries in front of bird's body Has a very Asian aesthetic to me....good work,Tim! regards,gayle (you chose some of my faves to comment on,and i,too,am glad you "get it" ;> )

Thanks so much for your comment, Paul. The original was severely underexposed and it took not a little effort to get it to this condition... levels, sharpening, selective desaturation and a bit of texture to achieve the "pop". I'm glad you like it!
