About Im starting to mess around with a studio set up. If anyone has ANY help send it my way. this set up had a 500w key and 250w fill. Its making me shoot at 1/60 sec at f2.8 any one know why its so slow?? Should I use more watts? 1000 perhaps?

Dear Ryan,

I think it is a great picture. Since you ask for comments and suggestions... You don't mention the ISO number you shot this picture with (which for the D100 can go up to 1600 ISO, probably at the expense of some more noise).

That could be one reason why you think it is slow - although I do not think 1/60 is very slow, the picture is nice and sharp. Something which might help is using reflector screens, mainly to lighten up shadows, but they increase light in general a bit.
There is one thing which disturbs me in the pic, the fold in the blanket which hides the left forearm near the elbow. And I think the picture would have been not less "decent" as a nude but the great curve of the back would have come out better...

regards, Huub
