About This is a reload of an earlier panorama to take advantage of the super new 1200 pixel width option for donors. Viewed as a standard "print" you see the strange bending horizontal lines of the rotary camera. If you could view it with the right software, though, these would all straighten out and you could zoom in and out (to look at details) and pan around the full 180 degrees of this particular shot.

It is great that they added the full size panoramic view feature, and for someone to utilize it so well. I like the strange bending as it adds a little quirkiness to the shot, whether that effect was wanted or not. For some reason, it feels like I can see around corners, I guess the distortion plays with your mind too. Excellent work Roger, it would be interesting to draw a comparison to the straightened version too - all the best for 2006!

Nice job Roger. I'm so glad that they added this feature. Perfect for some of your work. Nice one.

This is a great effect on just the right kind of subject. The pattern of the pavers underscores the visual distortion perfectly.

Best wishes,

There's always an element of the surreal in these panoramas for me. If you can distort space then maybe time, too? You have held a pretty even exposure throughout the frame. That is a good thing. Interesting how the tiles on the ground just go wild the further from the center they are.

Yes, this is my church. The "bulge" is the typical distortion introduced by the rotary camera. It's less obvious in some shots than others. I don't normally use it for buildings because it looks so odd but I made an exception for this one. The field of view is actually a bit over 180 degrees, so it can't help being distorted... I wish you could see it with the proper software!

Dear Roger, both the church and the house next to it are bulging out of the shot, but is looks interesting! It gives the impression that the building of the church is round.Fine pattern on the tiles in the foreground. Is this your church?
Best regards from Gabriela
