Interesting bird, well captured. I think a little bit longer focal length could have helped, but of course may not have been possible if you were already at the 200mm end. The colors of the bird match nicely w/ his surroundings as you said in the about.

Excellent use of DOF throughout the frame. I like the way the foreground branches have been blurred out so as to keep the viewers mind on the bird. Excellent placement of the bird also and her colour matches with the surrounding environment also.

Brilliant color! I really like the symmetry with the V-shaped red 'frame' highlighting the red in the bird. It feels a little static with the bird in the center, but I can't find a better configuration by cropping. An outstanding bird image from a relatively short lens.
