About I couldn't get over this photographer ignoring the glorious blaze of colour behind him, and he wouldn't get out of the way, so I included him in the shot. It is quite hard NOT to include photographers in your shots in Japan, particularly if you are anywhere at all photogenic!

To each his own, but this does have a great feel and humor. The tree is beautiful.

Thanks for visiting Ned. I remember your beautiful "Silhouetted Joy" photo... I think he was snapping his wife.

Such strong colours and again I am really liking the way the lens is painting the image. I get the feeling that this would have marvellous details in the leaves when printed large.
Yes a lot of us walk around with our eyes open and minds shut to the amazing scenes around us. I am sure this gentleman has a different view on why or what to take photos of.

Unfortunately, I think people become so accustumed to consitant beauty around them that they forget to enjoy and admire it. That is a magnificant tree and dush-such gorgeous colours.

Wow Roger, these colors are amazing. I can't find this in my hometown ;-)
I think the photographer adds something to the picture. Especially with your explenation that it's hard NOT to include them in you pictures...!I would love to be in Tokyo once...
Thanks for all you positive feedback!

Great capture. One wonders what had his attention more than the beauty next to him? I'm behind on viewing and making comments. Hope to catch up and hope you had a great Christmas. Rodney

Hi Roger,

This really looks like a lovely tree ;-) The detail is just breathtaking. I find the contrast between the dark photographer versus the colored tree in the back very attractive.

Wish you a great 2006!

best wishes,
Thilo

It's a landscape. No, it's photojournalism. Wait, it's both! The colors are nice, but I think the inclusion of the man really gives the image meaning and even helps it pictorially. Just great!
