This is actually a private lane, and I've never seen anyone walking through it. This picture is taken from the road passing the entrance--there's pavement trimmed away from the bottom of the shot! I wouldn't have minded having one or two tiny people silhouetted against the light at the end of the tunnel. To the other Roger: I make bookmarks and give them to my friends. Anyone who sends me their address and indicates which one they like can have one! Mary, I posted this one specially for you!

I'm sorry, I disagree with Mary. Adding an anonymous human in the middle distance does not make the picture about that person. In any case, this is not "Nature" in anything near pristine state; it is a man made lane that works in harmony with the environment around it.

But adding a human makes the shot about a person and not about the trees...I like nature to be nature and people to be people - so I like this - it has a sense of place...

This is beautiful. Love your vertical panoramas. You'd have much more of a sense of scale if you had a human in the frame. I'd love to have had such a camera when I was at Yosemite just so I could capture the proper perspective on the giant sequoias. Hadn't thought of it then but I probably should have got at least a disposable panorama camera. Well, . . . next time!
