Hi Dear Janet .. Well we still have the smog problem here .. The holidays were of little use .. Health officials have reported that an average of 700 people per day have been hospitalized because of the air pollution.
The lack of wind for many days and the fact that Tehran is surrounded by mountains has allowed a thick layer of smog to hover over the city.
anyway .. I've attached two shots I took on friday when I went montain climbing .. these shots where both taken in Standard contrasts sharpness and color saturation mode and no PS editing has been done .. You usually see Tehran from the top of these montains but on friday I saw something totally different!! It was just as if teh cities covered with clouds .. but the weather condition was clear and dry !! with the reflection of suns light the smog was totally white .. It might seem cool that the peaks of 5000m montains look like islands in the smog .. But it's a real disaster .. In the first shot you can see parts of the city at the bottom corner ..
anyway I hope it get's better with the governments new strategies ..

Hi Dear alison .. Many thanks for your nice comment .. well today's a bit better than yesterday .. they've blocked half the streets of the city and won't let any cars except for taxi's and buses pass ... I bealive most of Tehran's pollution is because of the cars !

Lovely lovely shot, a bit confusing at the first second coz of the shadow but this is a good thing! Very well composed and great use of the sunshine...nice colour in the two sections, and shape of the tree branches - well seen aLi, keep those deep breaths going...
