About This carillion chimes melodies on the hour at Jindaiji botanical gardens, but it is also a mobile who vanes sway with the wind. I think it qualifies as one of the more unusual sculptures I have come across in Japan.

It most definately is unusual. It is also unique and beautiful. Some creative mind thought this up. Very neat.

I got a bit distracted by the upgrade. Here is a full-length view of this musical mobile.

Very beautiful metal work, dear Roger and the angle you chose makes for a good composition! The many reflection on its faces are a pleasant surprise.

Thanks, Ray. It's probably about four or five meters tall. I did take one in colour showing it full length with people alongside to give the scale. Maybe I'll post that with a comment (I thought it was a bit pedestrian for a normal posting).

Very neat photo Roger, i love the perspective, at first it looks almost alien, with the different bows of silver. very nice composition. I can't wait to one day see those all of these unusual sculptures, in such a beautiful place.

It is a very strange looking sculpture Roger and I love the angle of the shot but how tall is this structure? Wonderful details and reflections within the composition. Well taken. All the best to you....Ray
