I believe you might call this shot "Endlessness..." as it is certainly so!Fantastic in panoramic! The clouds are particularly amazing in shape and depth! Very well done, Anson!

It is much more easy to adjust the tonality of the B/W image using the color sliders in the PS channel mixer than setting the image to a particular color and adjusting the tonality with the "curves" function. Anson

Hmmm, it only takes two eyes to see that, I assumed. But I am myself glad for mentioning that, then.
But Anson, any particular reason for the difficulties to get the full tonality in color? I am an ignorant in this domain, so any information would be very valuable for me.

I was wondering if anyone would see the apparent depth in this picture which I do when I view it full screen on my computer, and Nick you are the first to mention it! Congratulations! I'm glad it was just not my imagination, and yes the clouds do go on to infinity, or the horizon. This started out as a colored IR taken on a digital camera and was then converted to monochrome to get the full tonality out of the clouds. I don't seem to be able to do that in color. It is about 15 kilometers from my home outside of the city of Gainesville. Glad you like this on, Nick. Anson

A very... landscapy (!) capture, in which endlessness has the strongest part. And this because the horizon is visible - yet not quite! As if the earth would end where the clouds start - and where is this place? I guess somewhere in my fantasy rather than on any particular place on this earth!
But it is also the tremendous contrast of the two trees at the left, as they stand in front of the clouds on the background, and also the darker clouds at the right, which feel so near, that enhance this feeling of depth - of letting the view escape to infinity!
BTW, is that B&W or IR? I think it is B&W, but I am not so sure!

I missed an even more beautiful sky here by not having my camera with me when I drove by earlier. This Paynes Prairie was once a very large lake that drained when a sink hole opened up many years ago, Robbie. It now is owned by the state as a wildlife refuge and is home to many kinds of animals, even bison. Thanks for commenting, my friend. Anson

Thanks, Robbie, for putting me onto the Panorama Factory program. It is so much easier to use and so forgiving about lens aberrations, etc. than what I had been using. It also allows you to work with TIF files, not just JPEGs as my old one does. I really love it. See my note to you elsewhere about sepia IR images. Regards. Anson

Just experimenting with a great stitching program that Robbie Chin put me onto. It is almost impervious to dummies! You have a great portfolio, but I hope you are not as confined as your photo "Life's Tracks". I think I know the answer to that.
