Q. Want to buy simple digital camera...

hi, i shoot film and know very little about digital cameras...my son and i need a simple digital camera with the following specs so we can post our for sale items on eBay...i can't afford very much,but would be willing to trade one of my photos which i sell via higher res.300dpi file + money...suggestions? or have one for sale?

Specs: 3-4 megapixels
optical zoom 3x (or better)
can preview shot before keep or delete
prefer to set up shot thru viewfinder
will print a decent 8x10
*under $100 if at all possible
USA dollars
*Also, let me know how many shots can you take with batteries and what memory card size
Feel free to tell me what else i should be asking....

*Please note: This is not to enter the world of digital since i am a confirmed long time film user, but just to post acceptable pics for eBay sales of various items my son and i make/collect...

Hi Gayle, Some time ago I went through the same process. I bought a Polaroid PDC1300 (1.3meg) for about $150 when 1 meg was "state-of-the-art". It works just as well now, except one can pick up the kit on Ebay for under $25. The software is one of my personal favorites, I still use it with my Nikon D100 and Canon A95. It's less than your spec quote, but this camera is large in the "can-do" department for ebay postings, at a very reasonable entry cost! Good luck, -john
