  Q. Aperture vs. Lightroom vs. PS: My brain is muddled!

Asked by Mary Sue Hayward   Donor  (K=17558) on 10/3/2007
I just switched to a Mac, and need to replace software. I'd like to hear the experience of others who have used Aperture or Lightroom. I'm considering these in place PS-CS3.

Lightroom looks very appealing. Mainly I want to edit individual photos: crop, levels, minor retouching, adjustments, etc. I'm not entirely sure of how the two products differ.

What is your experience, pros, cons, etc? I am also considering getting PS again, but for some reason these other programs seem very functional for the kinds of things I do.

I'd appreciate feedback.
