Thank you for your comment(s). Yes, it's a good idea visiting St Katherines Dock. It is a bit unusual cityscape, not very well known, although so close to Tower Bridge.

I think I know exactly where this is: just in front of the Tower Thistle hotel, near St Katherine's Dock.
I've often looked at that sundial trying to find a nice angle and composition, witout much success. This is a great picture and an example of what I ought to try next time.
You got great light for this one.

You have a good eye Anna, this is great. I love the detail, texture and punchy contrast. It looks very strong and industrial but at the same time the curves give it a softness that makes it appealing. I assume this is in St Katherines Dock, not an area that I'm familiar with - I'll have to change that situation soon!

The crop makes this an interesting one for the eye...
However as not familiar of such a dial in ol'London town... would welcome some more 'About'... SVP
