Yes, a very nice statue, Roger, expertly captured as ever. Kind regards, Chris P.S. We've had a brilliant day! Seeker-type event this evening brought ina couple of new faces and one of our biggest audiences ever! The morning service was really good ~ and I can say that because I wasn't preaching!! Tomorrow we're off on a church outing to see the O.M. ship 'Doulos', which is docked in Southampton. One of our young people has been serving on the ship for the past 18 months. Have a good week, Chris

Know what you mean, Rob. I have mixed feelings too. I think it may have been intended to encourage women to sacrifice their husbands, but to me it is just a sad and lonely woman facing the future without her breadwinner, and with children--one at least too young to understand that a wicked war has taken their father away for ever. Great peace propaganda, looked at that way!
The exposure was very difficult to judge... and I had to do some careful work dodging and burning to get it looking like this. Glad you liked the result. Colour was no good at all.

Mixed feelings about the sentiment to be honest. As photo a good piece of work despite the apparent harsh light it turned out in nice grey tones. Have a good Easter Roger. Regards, Rob.
