Michael... you're pretty good....F4.5, 1/5 second, ISO 1600. I used a tripod. I have plenty of energy to go out and shoot, but I've gotten pretty lazy about putting the settings onto my images! Thanks for your constructive observations.... you always have an interesting perspective... ...Brad

What I get from this photo is old cracking paint in a dilapidated building that was once home to some unfortunate person who was forced to live there. Indicative of the mind of the person who was forced to live there, in decay but at home. It?s a powerful image once your forced to look at it. So, I?m guessing that it was available light and 1600 iso, f/5? 1/30? The only thing that I can see that would make this better is a tighter apt for more dof, and more light, or recomposing it to minimize the foreground a little bit. Nonetheless.. It?s a very disturbing photo, very well done! ~Mike

I love the asylum series -you should put them all in an album - quite a nice Halloween feel I thought.

Deeply moving. Disturbing.
One does not have to view the entire series to comprehend. Each image individually powerful.

Judging from these series of images, this must be as far away from home that one can get. To think that anyone had to call this place "home" at one time is a bit unnerving. Of course four walls and a roof never really made a place a home, but having those that care around one instead-something I am sure the residents had lacked. A rather disturbing image, can't wait to see the next~

Marvelously seen, Brad...the incongruous juxtaposition of the 'happy red house' with the nightmare environment, a feeble attempt to 'normalize' the abnormal...the effect no less bizarre and painful when the building was sterile and clean.
This series speaks to the human soul in hell better than any I've seen. Riveting, haunting, altogether unforgettable.
