About Houses from this era used to be a lot more common around here. The numbers are diminishing as the number of stucco monsters increase. Must be the building nazis at work. Actual shutter speed was 1/640.

Thank you for the kind remarks. Wjen it comes to digital, I'm Canon all the way. But with film I am a diehard Olympus shooter. My son does Canon both ways.

Wonderful capture George, the colours are superb - but then again, it is a Canon you are using (biased as I am these days lol).

Best wishes,
Steve

I will show you old house from my country when I come back from Christmas break. Color is very different here.

I wish I had a photo but I dont. In Canada, in New Brunswick, Frederiction is the provincial capital. You see a small section down near the St. John River and near to the Provincial Legislature with Victorian homes with lots of wood details similar to this one. Lots of tall over arching trees. Some of the houses are painted gloss black, which is apparently historically accurate. They really catch your eye.

A very good architectural capture of a nice restored old home. Very nice.

Bob, about six months ago this place was a very shabby shade of pink.

don't mind me, I love the house and the wall, but somehow the colours of each seem to be in conflict. I wonder what the original colours were.

You'd never see one painted in those colours over here in Japan. Of course you'd seldom see a house that size in ANY colour. Think rabbit hutches.
