Well seen ! A great capture, would also be fine in B&W IMO. The flip-out LCD is well suited for this kind of shot, sometimes I miss my good old G1 ;-)

I think it is great to
have that great manhole
cover placed exactly
where it is.
Don't know about square format,
but I might have cropped a bit
of the top, then again, maybe
not. It's probably best
just the way it is...

Superb composition! A facinating interplay of abstract shadow and real life scene. The image seems confined to two dimensions 90 degrees offset. Very interesting. And the shadow is alive! Excellent lighting angle, this photo is only possible for a short time each day. Good eye and fast reaction to shoot this. I also like the inclusion of the man hole cover which anchors the picture in reality gives a solid reference point, I think. Bravo!
