About This is a second take on the Dawn Flock image I published earlier in the week. This time the image has been captured using medium format film rather than digital. I'm very pleased with the light but the sun's presence on the edge of the frame has led to some flaring. The scanner has struggled with the shadow area and introduced quite a bit of noise but overall I feel it's a nicer image than the digital one and certainly much more detailed. I used 2 stops of hard ND grad and 3 stops of soft ND grad and an 81B warm-up filter to capture this image.

The golden brown tone is lovely. You have some wonderful shots in your portfolio.

Lovely capture, beautiful tones and composing, very creative and well displayed.

Better colours in this version definitely, I just wish there was a tree or something in the middle distance to aid composition. An utterly beautiful image nonetheless, even as a jpeg.

I'm sure this looks amazing on a lightbox - but this digital file does little justice for it

Superb!! The beauty in this image overrides the scanning flaws.
