About Out of the camera as is, focusing was manual due to reflections from the glass. Most awkward thing was trying to get position by the tank with what seemed like a hundred bouncing kids all hyper on sugar, that'll teach me to go to a tourist attraction during the school holidays.

wow - he;s a handsome brute!

I've had a go at fishy photos and they are real pain to get - no flash and all those reflections never help.

top effort.

Thank you James. Thankfully the glass in this area of the tank is not too thick, but as you go further down the attraction the water pressure becomes greater and so the glass thicker, and the light much dimmer.

Fantastic image Nigel, it looks like something from another world! The angle you have shot it from makes the viewer have to think what it could be. Considering you took it through glass you have retained great detail and clarity in the face and managed to avaoid any nasty reflections.

Thanks.

Grazie Dino, elogio grande effettivamente dopo avere visto i vostri paesaggi, particolarmente "pitture del Monferrato", esso assomiglia ad un paesaggio del Turner.

Thank you Jim. The light was a major hurdle to overcome at this place. They have the biggest shark tank in Europe and as you go further down the light becomes less and less so you have to have a very steady hand, and trained fish that don't swim :)

Thank you Chris. When I uploaded it to the computer and viewed it on the monitor the 3D effect really hit me. I decided against any kind of post processing (except for the frame) in case I destroyed the effect.

Regards

Nidge.
