Looks like a wild and stormy night too. Powerful emotions portrayed here. Here's where the master artist comes in. It's stronger than if we were looking at the real thing.

"On a hill, far away. Stood an old rugged cross. The emblem of suffring and shame. And I love that old cross..." You made me go find a Statler Brothers song...

Very somber mood created here, Rebecca! Very good effect considering the subject. Nice job of framing.
Thanks for your comments!

Shameless pretty much nailed it. The tones and hues and the way you incorporated them into the frame are superb. It really is a beautiful cross and the background has the wonderful IR quality.

A very fine tribute to whoever was laid to rest under that cross, musta taken alot to chisel it.
Good use of PS here adds a bit of mystery to it.
I like the frame you've put on it as well.
Thanks for all your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

I wonder what sort of stone it is - it looks like sandstone to me. I have never seen anything like this - very interesting!

Very moody and I am a sucker for great cemetary shots. Excellent composition, I love the eeries look and feel.

interesting find,Poe..the tone/hues are different and suit the image well..can't even imagine chiseling something like this..wonder how long it took to complete?..like the lighting on the trees and bushes which have an eerie, sparkling glow..Shameless
