Thanks George - The Tasmanian Crater Lake was never a Crater - there is no Volcanic evidence - it is just the name given, unlike the Oregon Crater Lake.

Very nice and peaceful looking place. The title caught my eye first, because there is a Crater Lake in Oregon, US which I have seen. Great shot!

One other thing I just noticed - the Border - as seen on usefilm is grey but the original is black and the image I uploaded is darker (border) than that present at the usefilm site.
This tells me 2 things. My JPG conversion from Photoshop reduced colour saturation and contrast
AND the upload to usefilm reduced it further.
Strange I know - I wonder if other have noticed this. Its only apparent on the black border.

Chris, Thanks for the comment. As you imagine it would be impossible to create an image to suite all monitors (brands and types) In fact - as displayed on my own 19" CRT it looks well balanced for colour and contrast. However I have to add quite a bit of Magenta and Contrast to get it to print "neutral" on my Canon Printer.
The image I uploaded has a slight magenta cast as its the final print version. I am still working on setting up a profile for my printer so that output matches the screen. On teh other side of your comemnt - most LCD screens that I sell have a higher contrast that my CRT so I am surprised that on your iMac it looks flat. Technology - woderful inconsistent stuff.

Excellent shot, David!
I'm viewing it on a flat-screen iMac and it looks like it might benefit from a shade more contrast, but an imposing picture nonetheless!
Kind regards, Chris
