Patricia, you are one of the few/only users of the Contax 645 I've found. I'm thinking about getting one and I would like to ask you some questions about the system. Can you please contact me offline at patrick AT photo.net ?
Cheers,
Patrick

Patrcia et al, believe it or not, it was through a Gooble search for Contax 645 images I found this site and your portfolio!
As a parent of young boys, this image has a lot of relevance and joy to me. Technically it is nearly perfect, on a personal note I would have preferred a bit more contrast and some lower dynamic range, i.e. some more/larger zone 1-3 areas, but then again, it is nearly impossible to accurate judge/review an image on a computer screen. Regardless, your complete portfolio is very impressive.

A sweet lively capture Patricia. I bet that was a very popular pastime in the heatwave they experienced in France. I love the dappled light in the foreground. The composition works for me.

Like! 645? I don't think you have any choice about the foreground, and I think you've used it well -- also used the bright strip on sunlight well. Everything around these three figures is hot, dry. The kids, of course, have found the great solution.
But the woman ignores it . . . Would be wonderful cropped in tight -- as another version. But I like this one, too.

What would work slightly better for me is if you were a tad bit closer to the children - not a lot just enought to eliminate a little more foreground so they are closer to us and easier to pick out quickly - I also wish the DOF were just a little shallower so that the woman leaning against the pole weren't so clear...

Patricia; this is an excellent subject and composition. The children playing at the pump are great. Photographically though the long bright strip in the middle of the photo makes it hard to view the primary subject-- don't know what to do about it, but it's hard to ignore? Nice street take!
