Maybe a little to tight of a composition,j, but couldn't move back any further because of obstructive trees, shrubs, etc. So glad you came to visit and like this one. Will probably print it up for mounting. Regards. Anson

Very nicely composed and presented. Beautiful contrast and clarity. Nice white foliage, that's when you know you got a good one (IR). Very nicely captured, great light. -john

Don't think these shrubs shed their leaves in winter, but that is something to explore, Jeroen. Thanks for the suggestions. Anson

IR seems to pick up energy from old wood fairly well, Guy, and this cabin is definitely old, probably 75 years or so. Glad it caught your eye, and thanks for stopping. Anson

Nice idea, but too cramped and crowded.
All the foliage around it detracts from the subject rather than enhancing it.

A wider perspective would have been better, and probably you should wait for winter for the leaves to shed as well.

Sometimes BW shows a mood in the best possible way, depending upon the subject and lighting. IR help a lot here with the clouds and the green foliage, Melissa. Glad you like this one. I will print it probably when get back home. Regards. Anson

Thanks, Partha, for stopping. I use a Wratten 89B filter with the white balance set to green foliage. The camera does the rest. PS used to tweak the tones in Channel Mixer, monotone. Glad you like this one. Anson

This cabin became abandoned only about 2 years ago, Rocky. Don't know the details, but it is about 5 miles from our little place in the mountains here. Thanks for the visit, and come again. Anson

Sometimes in this part of the country, Robbie, the older folks are unable to join the younger generations when they move on. We watched the old couple sit on the porch of this cabin for many summers until they simply weren't there any more. Thanks for the nice comment and keep away from the wildfires. Anson

This is a really nice photo, im partial to b&w. I love the contrast between the building and the trees, it really makes the building stand out. Great job.

The IR lends itself well to this image, Anson. Feels like an Ansel Adams shot. I love the wide angle and perspective too. Very nicely done!
~ Warmest regards, Rocky

in harmony.I can appreciate the exposure problems
if you have to shoot at f4 for 10s.
