Thanks Ryan . . . I recognize that the triple light beam is not a natural feeling beam . . . but this is my first foray into this venue of editing and it was just to much fun for me to pass up . . . my reaction was the same . . . Obvious digital . . . but still pleasing. Thanks for the comment!

Heh PS is the new darkroom ;) just faster, but I won't start that debate.
Great image here. I often use multiple exposures and then layer mask them in. Nicely done.
Your light beams give a very interesting feel to the image, it makes it look digital but very nice.
You've got some great stuff, looking forward to seeing more of it.
Ryan~

Oh, thanks again Lisa . . . as it happens, RAW image work is easier than PS work. (At least for me) - it has a wide range and no serious halo issues. Of course, one does need the PS work to merge the different versions of one image together . . . :)

The rays of light beaming through the columns is absolutely beautiful.
Very nice composition and it perfectly fills the frame of the image from one corner to the next.

Wow . . . thanks VERY much Renato. Your "need to be honest" comment had me thinking you were going to say something very negative . . . Like . . . "gosh dude, you really should try pottery!"
I know PS work is not for purists at all . . . but I do both sides . . . purist inclinations left over from my 35mm days . . . and having fun with the new options available in the digital world. So I understand this type of shot will be despised by some . . .
But Boy did you turn it into a great compliment. Thank you very much!

Wow . . . thanks very much Larry! You know . . . when I first started shooting RAW I was intimidated by the multiple opportunities presented with a RAW image even before you put it into an editing program. Now, of course, I ONLY shoot RAW . . . and that's saved MANY a shot . . . especially with incorrect exposure since it can be adjusted about two full f/stops. If you can shoot RAW . . . it's really the ONLY way to go. I certainly appreciate your comment!! :)

Fabulous working of your original raw image to rescue the idea Doyle. An excellent perspective of this wonderful architecture and an interesting procedural 'about'. The sun is neatly trapped behind the well detailed columns with those powerful rays peeking through. A well planned shoot utilising two extremes of the shot to present us with this very worthy entry in this project. Well done to you my friend. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray:)

Doyle,
I need to be honest here... Not need, but must! :)
I had very different feelings, a lot of emotion when I saw this image... First, when I saw the thumbnail, I thought something like wow man! Doyle just captured the light, and my mind started to compose a commentary like “the light stopped to you, my friend...”
Then I read your about and saw the RAW image.
This was a fabulous work, really nice. Excellent! My favorite!
Wishing you all the best, Renato

Thanks very much for the pat on the back Joggie! In fact . . . I very much DID visualize the shot and compose it accordingly. I have several from various positions around here each seeking to place the sun in the perfect spot. Feels good to know that wasn't unnoticed! :)
