Jeroen: I like the composition on this shot and think it's perfect for the pano-format. Color seems good to. I think I'd be tempted to adjust the light levels in the sky since, as suggested by Hugo, it seems a little "Mucky" (a technical term I gather). I think, really, it just seems to "washed out" and a slight adjustment in levels would bring it in very well. Other than that I think the shot is first rate and a proud addition to your portfolio!
I was about to comment there IS a fence in this photo...:) but thought against it, as it's a rather lame remark....:)
Good shot, especially in the large sized panoramic view. I also like the composition, but today it struck me in one of Salvatore's images (Nevada pano) that the placement of the primary subject on the right takes a way the impact a bit, especially in the panoramic view, where you have to scroll through the scen to see all, and you don't have the overview of the entire composition. In that respect, placing the fence on the left makes sense.
I wondered about the relative low aperture, but I think that was inspired by the windy afternoon (looking at the slanted grass), requiring a fast shutterspeed. I think the DOF is quite remarkable, but then again with a fixed 20mm, that's no real surprise either. Good shot, and good tones, although I'd work on the sky a bit, it looks a bit mucky, if you see what I mean.
