Hi Jeroen, amaising shot; the sheep liven up the photo, and the barren winter colour of the heath-scape sure has the exact same colour. Impossible to count, as there are quite a few in the background.... I like the colour of the thawing ice in the pool, it breaks the monochromatic touch of the landscape a bit. The puzzled sheep (why can't I drink...?) is an excellent eyecatcher, placing the attention to the lower half of the photo. Apart from the wideness of the landscape, I think the atmosphere would not be affected, if you only composed this photo with the thawing ice pool, and the drinking sheep (see attached). Only an idea, not meant as an improvement to your solution.... One more thing: The horizon is slightly tilted, but the composition is, as usual, very good....
