Wow, this is stunning. The high contrast gives me a distinct feeling of nostalgia for something like a fairytale..I can't quite put my finger on it. The shot is brilliant in dof, exposure and composition, so bravo to you!

Thanks Efrain! I have the kenko tubes set(12mm,20mm,36mm).They are apparently the same as the canon and tamron with only a different name printed. ;0) When u use the 12mm and 20mm tube seperate the autofocus works fine.With the 36mm tube the autofocus does not always get it spot on because you loose a bit to much light.I can imagine when u would use the 36 mm tube on a faster lens( f4 or f4.5) autofocus works better.In this photo i did not use an extension tube......the shortest focusdistance of the sigma is 2,5 meter at 500mm.

Bedankt Guido. Ik verschuil mij achter een stuk oude legernet.Als je ze dan hun favoriet voer(pinda's) ergens in de buurt plaatst....dan is het al wat makkelijker

Hi Karel, this one is probably even better than the previous one. The tilted head and the snappy black eyes show the natural nervous way of movement in these birds. The cool tones (as in temperature) make the bird come out fabulously. Good shot!
