Absolutely ridiculous Dear Thilo with a BIP Award but only a 5.62 Overall Rating for such an excellent image rendered in b&w. Let's see if my true 'Seven' can't help this much more deserved situation out a bit ...

Excellent piece of work, Thilo....good BW conversion also...alway difficult to keep off the noise....maybe some slight softening on the edges of the dome but....that's being very picky...well done

Hi Karel,

the 10-20 mm is (at least for Nikon) without any competetion if you want to do extreme wide angle and handheld night shots. The sharpness may to be the best in the market, but the price performance ratio is extraordinary good.

best wishes,
Thilo

na da war ja mal wieder ein award überfällig....feine nachtaufnahme, und das auch noch in s/w, wo farbe hier für die meisten doch obligatorisch gewesen wäre denke ich mal. der "mut" hat sich ausgezahlt....

gratulation, thilo :-)

Wow Thilo your work is always a rare treat, how do you find these interesting buildings, of course I know how you photograph them, with your talent and expertise, but just to find them, excellent perspective shooting from the floor, really gives the viewer an accurate representation. I like that you isolated it from everything else and the clarity is excellent. Nice details of the column inside and the spiral ledge? going up and around inside, there is much to see in this image..I can even see people inside. A very interesting architectural find, with the shape and all of the repeating shapes and forms, very well photographed and treated, as always your tones are perfect, and taking this at night was the best way I think to view it, really great work Thilo!! My best to you!!

Hi Thilo,
Rather e4xcellent photo, although i've seen a lot of photo's of this building never seen it taken from the point in your picture. Looking at your photo i wonder why....

btw Next thing i'll buy for my camera is that 10-20 from sigma (only with a canon fitting).

Best Regards

Splendid, Thilo! Is that a fisheye zoom? I ask bevause (as you know) I use a fisheye and think I recognize the distortion. It's not quite the same, though...

this building is well suited to the 'worm's eye' effect too. the tower on the right is a great reference point.nice framing job too!

Hi Thilo,
Interesting architecture.
It seems a similar concept as our airport terminal viewed from this angle.
