Hallo Neil,
danke für die konstruktive Kritik. Ich habe lange überlegt, wie ich das Bild am besten veröffentlichen kann (und ob überhaupt). Die blaue Farbe hat dann irgendwie den Ausschlag gegeben, dass ich das Bild doch noch online stelle ;-) War eine schwere Geburt.

thx for the comments. About the cropping: I opt against it as there are three waves of patterns in the water. The cropping would destroy this "arrangement" so I let the patterns as they are. But you're right: a more horizontal format would probably fit better to the theme.

Hallo Thilo, Ich habe das Bild bereits Gestern gesehen und war nicht eingeloggt, also konnte nicht mein Senf dazu geben :) Jetzt habe ich Zeit also. Wunderschön... die Glättung das Meer und die Bewegung der Fähre ist "Magic". Ich finde deine Belichtung optimal für die Situation und PS bzw. colouring in richtung Blau einfach grandios.

Hi Thilo, This is another one I felt compelled to to comment on. Excellent long exposure, and the cool tones in this one are excellent. I've been wondering what the effect would've been if the ferry wouldn't have been there, but I guess it would result in a rather boring shot without it. The unexpected motion blur in something that is relatively slow moving is adds a very strong and almost unreal tension. Maybe you could crop a bit off the lower part of the image, as I think it would divide the shot better, and balance the composition more, too.

Wow this looks amazing, I love it! Very beautiful with this softness, and how the moving boat is so blurry that it's hard to know if it's real or just a dream! The composition of the bridge is so perfect too, and I love the glossy water and interesting mood!

Great shot - really admire people who can get a great night shot, such as this. The ability to see into the darkness and get good composition is a real gift.
The blueish tone and the movement of the ferry add impact to this image. Very classic feel.
