Thanks Mary - appreciate your comment on this on some of my other florals. Really looking forward to seeing some new posts from you. So many of us appear to be really busy right now. Very few posts by my friends and associates. Perhaps things will settle down in a while. Jan

Thanks Don - This macro lens does have a stabilizer, but does work better on a tripod when used on manual. However, it does do a pretty good job when used on auto macro.

Don - thanks for the comment and the suggestion. Rob was wondering how I did this. I know that the two out of focus petals were curved way towards the front of the flower. Will have to give you suggestion a try and see what I can do with better focus. Jan

Nice and sharp Jan. About the only way you can work with a macro lens is on a tripod. Nice one. Don.

Looks like we got a new lens.. The macros are sure fun to work with. Your getting pretty good
DOF here, just a little out of focus on the two petals up front. Try and focus on the nearest part of the subject that you are photographing as all of your depth of field is beyond the point of focus.
Nice exposure Jan. Don.

You name was right on it but at first it was blocked. Your doing a wonderful job learning all this stuff. I feel like I'm falling backwards. Maybe a bit sad since I can't get out much. My shots aren't going the way I want them to.

Stunning at thumbnail but even more beautiful at full size. Wonderful exposure on the whites and super razor sharp quality on the flower. It looks like silk with those gorgeous sparkles shining on the white. The background is a perfect compliment. This is outstanding work Jan. Truly breathtaking.

Cheers - Ann
