Sinister, there's go to be something evil behind those eyes - like a still from a B-grade horror video!

Thanx... I haven't taken the time to try and PS it yet... My next attempt will be using the internal B&W capabilities of the D80, using one of the red, and or orange filters... Still getting used to this digital stuff; versus film!

Cheers,

Bill

Ah...I knew you'd get around to this....excellent textures & detail...almost abstract...you oughta get involved with some more sophitacated B&W filters...Photoshop or something like it...even Picasa has quite a bit of filter capability....I think you'd like it

Thanx Doyle...My pleasure... BTW; I really enjoyed your shot of the fishing boat in "colored" B&W, and the obliteration of the horizon...

Thank you for your kind words Sam...I am glad you like it! No, the candle holder is not a Jewish Menorah. It is a candelabra used mostly for festive occasions such as Weddings, Baptisms, etc...

Cheers,

Bill

You made a good choice in your selection of camera and lens. I switched to digital completely about a year ago and have never regretted it. (Of course I now have a 35 mm SLR gathering dust).

Thanx Jan... I am really excited about this camera...and like you say, the lens is razor sharp. Interesting transition after twenty-seven years of shooting film... :-)

Hi Alexander; Thanx for the comments... This was one of those "I see the picture; I take the picture"... Straight out of the camera. I did however re-look the commentary, but I prefer it trees and all... Have a great day. -

Cheers,

I like the reflective quality in the water. I wonder how different this would feel with less of the trees in the background? I wonder if an angle that really featured the water and the house/boat would pop more?
