You've captured a beautiful mood here -- love the high contrast, the man's shadow and the things beyond -- it's all very peaceful. Which is how I always feel when I am alone. Nicely done!

Peter, it's PERFECT!!! And it's the perfect camera for you, I think -- you've got such a wonderful eye -- just look at that shadow, and the lines of the sidewalk . . . beautiful.

Please tell Eva that a woman who lives halfway across the world in America says she is the prettiest little girl she's seen in a long long time.

Have you seen the Holga shots Michael Klemmer has done with multiple exposures? They're very lovely, too.

A force to be reckoned with, no doubt! What an expression you've captured here, marcin. I don't know if I want to know how you did it!

you play the madman so well, Pascal
Nice light here -- it highlights the hands so well.

So beautiful, Tom -- I've loved all of these, tehy're very very rich

It's all there, Cheryl, very beautifully and intensely captured. YOur work always amazes me, and this one is no exception.

beautiful composition -- and just exactly the right amount of darkness and light.

Ah, perfect! Ruin is always so beautiful to me
Love the color here -- not many people would have been able to do it well, but this is outstanding. The color simply helps the light and texture rather than overpowering them.

I am sick, so I'm not very smart today, but I wanted to express my joy at this.

The wonderful thing about Stevie is that he looks so old and wise here -- as if a trick of the camera has revealed him at every age at once. A beautiful portrait, David -- I wouldn't change a thing.

Ah, yes, I can see why you like this one, John -- it's nicely framed by the car window, there's a sense of fleeting joy in her smile, and the rest of the landscape is nicely balanced.

Your work is always so wonderfully expressive, Cheryl, and this one is no exception. Beautiful light, and so well rendered on each face. Nicely done!

beautiful DOF here, Pascal -- love the stem and the stem shadow. And the textures on the fruit itself are astounding.

Not sure about the white haze at the top. It may be a touch strong?

Beautiful distortion here, Andreas -- you picked the perfect composition to really show off the Holga's crazy lens. Especially that brick-work -- makes me dizzy! I think you've got a good one there. I have a couple of Holgas, but one of them has a sort of normal lens, the other one I still haven't tried -- but you inspire me to dig it out!

Another beauty, David -- the tones are fabulous. As is the composition. I think you got everything just right here -- at first glance, it's the boy's upward face that takes the attention, but then the girl's riveting eyes take over. Very nicely done.

And no, I'm not just being nice

Jeepers. Tom -- you can't even shoot "plain" and make it look plain!
This is just lovely -- love the off-centeredness of it, and also the fact that you've let the tones come through so that it's not the typical "pure" black and white. I think it adds another dimension, a bit of spirit. Nicely done.

Hey, upload something mediocre so I don't look like a slobbering fool, will ya

I love this -- I am particularly drawn to anything that blocks directly experiencing a photograph. Don't know why. But the scratches and scribbles here are wonderful, adding a whole extra region, emotion, tone.

Very nice!

Like! 645? I don't think you have any choice about the foreground, and I think you've used it well -- also used the bright strip on sunlight well. Everything around these three figures is hot, dry. The kids, of course, have found the great solution.

But the woman ignores it . . .
Would be wonderful cropped in tight -- as another version. But I like this one, too.

Fabulous! Beautiful light and a great composition. The knee? For me it adds to the child's excited expression and body language.

Nicely done.

Ah, the pain of it -- having to listen to people's stories all day and half the night. I empathize with the man, I really do.

And you've caught it splendidly. I like the pointed fence tops on either side of the gabbing man -- my twisted mind wants one of them to leap and turn and go through him . . .

But he'd probably just keep on talking

At first I thought maybe less dof would be good, but no, your tones are strong enough to keep the foreground distinct. And I think your framing here is excellent, with that space between them dead-cneter. It's that space that the photo's about, I think.

Beautiful lighting and tones here, Wesley -- The pose is perfect and your DOF makes it even more so.

Not too sharp, not too soft, just right -- as the 80mm always seems to be. I'm assuming it's the Zeiss . . .

I love the balance here, all the rectangles -- very nice. And the light's so beautiful without being any sort of real presence -- just the mildness of the colors.

And then mr cat with his black and his strange pose -- what an accent he is. I must say, also, that I congratulate your including the dark road at the bottom, it's a nice tonal link to the cat's black and the blacks and greys above him.
Really nicely done, and welcome back!

Ha ha! Another beauty --
I like the nice tight frame here, and those wonderful tones. Obviously, the young man is very experienced, look at that hand on the hip

wonderful work, David.

Quite strange and beautiful, Andrew -- it's a wonderful idea and quite different, and I like it!

The configurations of trees are gorgeous, and taking the time to look at each frame is quite rewarding. I love the little touch of reddish color near the center.

I don't understand the lack of response to this, but don't let it slow you down. Must be something good on the idiot box or something

I don't know how you do this John -- amazing to me that you get such beautifully balanced frames working as quickly as you do.

She's wonderful -- look at that face! I really like, also, all the curves of the sidewalk, the dead-centerednes of the women, and the truck. It's all working together, like a good symphony.

Another beauty . . .
