hey eric,
the crop makes an interesting composition...
but to me..what makes this picture is the texture of the water in the foreground...nice

i like the framing on the second one with empty space around him...
and agree with others that the red is too saturated almost to the point of artifacting....though it may be that it is just the scan and not so on the film...

i will look forward to seeing more pictures of this kitten as he/she grows up..

very cute pup!

like stephen said...i think you were too close to it..you can see the focus is somewhere near its hind legs/mid body...probably thats the closest your lens could focus...does a60 have a macro mode?

wow...and the head is just 1.5in? amazing...do you have any other pictures that are not so close up...i would love to see how little it is compared to his/her mummy

oh okay, the reason i asked was i wanted to check that the softness of the image was inherent and not due to the image being resized on usefilm for being too large...

jenni,
its a very pleasant picture....though i would have liked it sharp..
what size image did you upload?
actually if it were more blurry than now..the effect probably would be interesting too...

you have a good eye for street photography...
what camera do you use? how do you go about taking pictures discreetly... especially pictures like this one

nice....where do you shoot these planes from? do they let you into the field?

wietse...you can photograph the 'airplane' without framing/cropping it so tight...
you have the colors, the sharpness, the light...the tower in the background...all perfect..
but like the previous poster i too would have preferred if you had zoomed out a bit to include the entire left wing ..and left a space of about an inch or two ahead of the nose for the plane to move into..

its a good picture paul..though i wish it wasnt flipped...
just feels unnatural to see the stars to the right..and the motion of the flag (from the curls) directed towards the left corner..

me like feet? ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
the about should have been 'can you smell the fungus' ;-)

suggestion would be to take a similar picture..when you havent been wearing the sock for a while..so that there are no stretch marks on the shank
