i like the framing on the second one with empty space around him...
and agree with others that the red is too saturated almost to the point of artifacting....though it may be that it is just the scan and not so on the film...

look at those beady eyes!...there is so much beauty in nature/life...this one is going into my favourites too...

very cute pup!
like stephen said...i think you were too close to it..you can see the focus is somewhere near its hind legs/mid body...probably thats the closest your lens could focus...does a60 have a macro mode?

wietse...you can photograph the 'airplane' without framing/cropping it so tight...
you have the colors, the sharpness, the light...the tower in the background...all perfect..
but like the previous poster i too would have preferred if you had zoomed out a bit to include the entire left wing ..and left a space of about an inch or two ahead of the nose for the plane to move into..

its a good picture paul..though i wish it wasnt flipped...
just feels unnatural to see the stars to the right..and the motion of the flag (from the curls) directed towards the left corner..

suggestion would be to take a similar picture..when you havent been wearing the sock for a while..so that there are no stretch marks on the shank

oh man...i remember those....probably still exist in the village back home, i used to visit
a very heartening picture...good thing you dint know much about min dof then...i dont want to miss anything from the background
looking at your bio...primarily a musician, EE and photographer..impressive
