This is an amazing landscape (or dunescape ;-) Colours are glorious, the shadows add so much depth and loneliness. It's a beautiful place, I wish I could visit a real desert some time.

Congratulation!

The feeling of being on top of the world, great composition, and great perspective. A nice play between the hard and soft elements. You can just feel the movement of the clouds. Alison

Alex, I like this photo very much. I was just up in DC myself and attempted a few photos of the monuments. It was just terribly cold and my patients was challenged by the weather day and night. I thank you for getting the shot I could not. I really like the dispersed lighting effect along the wall. My Marine Corps flag makes a good contrast. This is a very nice photo.

I was happy to see you on the front page so I came to congratulate you and wanted to start the exciting story at the beginning so here I am...First of all congratulations for the BIP! Your story is intriguing, I'm anxious to see what happens next, does he reach the gate? I love the dark deep blues and the colors from the IR filter, moody and beautiful, the angle is interesting, wonder if that's what a snake's view is like? A beautiful composition and story Thilo...I saw what Edward said and I have to agree, I'm so new to photography, that I find myself a little intimidated by your photography as well....

All the elements are here for this perfect shot, The sky, the two sunlit buildings, the boat with a red stripe, pier 17, and the reflections in the water. All come together to create a moody scene with impact. congrats.

Spectacular array of color and depth! This has that "daybreak" feel to it, as though challenging a new day. The somewhat muted tones and soft reflections allow the viewer to feel the textures and enjoy the richness of this classic skyline. Beautiful job, Bogdan! ..Brad

Hi Art, Very strong capture, classic and powerful. I like the lighing, and the city covered in the haze. (Note: I noted the sunny foreground....) Nice work on the frame, kind of wall poster type. That fits very well with this image, I think. Good shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

Really exceptional work drawn from a nice portfolio. It reminds me of the work of Cartier-Bresson, a csual moment with seeming cosmic proportions. I'm also reminded of the very best of the humanist landscapes in National Geographic.

I love the way the trees vertically hold the image togeter giving it a strong graphic structure. One improvement you might consider would be to somewhat lighten up that dark patch in the center foreground. But this is a minor point in an other wise wonderful image.

On a lighter note, here in NYC, going to work one morning on the subway, I saw a man in a shirt that said, "if there's not soccer in heaven, I'm not going." If I see him again, I'll tell him not to worry.

Thanks for seeing this, sharing this.

Very nice HDR.

Appears to be three shots due to the movement of the closest subject.
Very well timed to achieve this affect.
Great tones by HDR!
