kat, the thumbnail does it no justice. The colors and the movement is poetic! straight to my favorites.

You have such a good eye. Really like this shot, nice textures (so important to me as a B&W'er ;-) and you have handled the colours beautifully! Something to put on the wall. congrats. J.

Hi Kathleen! Well spotted; it's both graphic because of the shapes and interesting because it's hard to guess what it is. Or did you construct it? Beautiful colours, that remind me of tropical places...
Kind regards,
Tom

This is a stunning photo. Wonderful colors and composition. I love the way you included the blue needles in the dark space at right.

I just sent you a comment, don`t know what happened. This is an example for what makes a good photographer... your eye must be very good,to make a great photo of a simple object.
Many thanks for your kind comments,

Kathleen I do like this capture. I like the rain drops on the glass, might even be a bumper reflection? but none the less it has some depth to it.
I think the car lights help show the storm and background.
And the faint road adds much as well.

Kathleen, hard to ignore this one, so bright, I thought it might be oversaturated but find it's not, just lovely cheerful paintwork. Hard to what the purpose of the pipes was but whoever painted them saw the artistic potential which you captured so well, I expect the red paint is rubbed away from people sitting there. I'm pleased you weren't tempted to crop any tighter.
Magazine quality photo.

This really shows that you can make a picture out of just about everything, very well seen Kathleen, the contrast between the blue and the red is just great. The leaning of the two pipes really adds alot to this picture.

Great job. Really a neat capture. Has a kind of "Shindler's List" thing going on. Great to see some of your new stuff.

hmm is it about the raindrops on the window or is it about the seemingly empty backroad with one car i can't decide. ii like the ambiguity. i like the look of the drops. congratulations

Thanks everyone...Stefan, red is the theme of the album i'm putting together here at UF. the scene was almost a monotone anyway because of the rain and the hour so i converted it and then restaturated those big fuzzy tail lights. thanks again..kat~

I like how we get three very distinct layers here - the drops on the window/windshield, the red tail lights and the the very fuzzy but interesting background that play such an important role in the image. They all try to get my attention and I think the power in the image lies in that balance - nobody wins hands down and I keep considering them in turn. It must be partial desaturation and here it works well.
