Nice image Manu

if you have CS2 maybe fixing the perspective with the lens correction filter to give you straight verticals etc.

Well seen

Hi Josep

A nice attempt at a macro but overall the image lacks contrast.
There seems to be too much light in the shadow areas.

I have added a copy of the image with a bit more contrast I hope you don't mind me tampering with your art.

Cheers

Hi Josep

Nice crop and the gaze of the two women looking out of the frame adds a sense of intrigue .... what are they looking at ? Maybe just the back of the clock hahahaha.

I wonder about this print and the last few that you have posted. They seem to have quite a soft pastel washed out look as there are no strong blacks is this something you are doing post process.

Hi Manu

nice viewpoint and angle thats adds something different. Maybe giving a bit more of a tweak in the stone area making it a touch brighter.

Hi Gal

Thanks for your reply and clarifcation. Yeah I do have my work printed and have just had a 20x20 made of this image. You are right about the resolution of a pinhole camera the images are often rendered with a softness that affect detail and this is accentuated when enlarged. It is these attributes that I find nice about pinhole images they have an ethereal quality to them.

Softness in a photograph is as natural to the medium as sharp detail but is often overlooked as sharpness is the prefered norm.

Thanks for your comment Gal I think they are great

Cheers

Hi Gal

Thanks for your wonderful comment it's nice to receive a comment that syas more than great capture. The tilted horizon was intentional. I'm interested in your comment about "resolution" do you mean conceptually?

Thanks again

Hi Adrienne

Hung on that would not be nice. I like the comp the way the wire hangs and falls into darkness is a nice touch.

Manu

A crap lens, vignetting and a light leak .... what were you thinking.
Good one mate welcome to the club. True Holga vision.
Do you enjoy it?

Hi Adnan

Nice landscape and great light. The rock provides nice foreground detail and without it the picture may not have been as strong.
Perhaps you could have got a bit closer to it and highlighted it's importance.

Nice work

Hi Roger

When I started out doing this sort of work a number of years ago I would scratch and rip the actual negative and then print in the darkroom. But now I just scratched a series of 120 @ 135 negs made hi res scans of the ones I liked and use them digitally. The effect and look is the same.

Cheers Mate

Hey Manu

This is a great portrait. Lewis Hine comes to mind even more so if it were in B&W. I like the way you have used the light the vignette is nice and the flash not to overpowering.

Thanks for your comment on my image. This final image is a composite of about 9 different images so it is quite manipulated.

Hi Laura

Thank you for your comment. Yes the Holga is a toy camera and there are lots of examples of them on Usefilm.

Nice portrait Manu. I like the use of available light. Maybe a tiny hint of detail in the cab behind the driver would be nice.
