An abstract image, by its definition. Colors and composition are well done. Great shot. Regards, Sergio.

excellent industrial shot! I just do like such photos metal constructions and gray dusty concrete. The grain just adds to the mood in this shot.

AJ-I tought you might get a litle bit sick of the Seidlce shots si this should break the monotony. Mohamed-good idea for the cropping, I will try that one day when I learn to crop. Gary-this is my future house, not holiday home and progress as you can see is terribly slow. Anyway thank you all for taking time out to comment. Always appreciated gentlemen.

Regards,

Robert.

I'M SURPrised more poeple haven't seen this picutre it is very intriguing and the black and white really gives it tha factory/mill work atmosphere of people devoting their whole lives to the machine. Nice use of focal point in the center though I think a shorter millimeter lens like 16 or 12 would have given it more of a angled look going to the back door which is pure white. This picture is a little lonely and sad...nice pic

if it has no light trace on the floor so you may consider crop just under the frame,.. the b&W choice is perfect to the shot and the composition is succcessful,... gr8 work

A magnificent building indeed! There's a very similar construction on the Praga side of the river in Warsaw...

Well that's a relief - thought for a minute you were going to identify this as another view of the factory in Siedlce!

An interesting contrast here between the timber house and the (70s? 80s?) block behind. Both probably in need of some maintenance!

The grain is from the film- no intention AJ. The frames are for inside the turbine and form part of the structure-not all of it. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.

Robert.

Interested to see you've been to Siedlce. It's not the most dynamic town in Poland, and it sure needs some investment. So with luck your contract will be a great boost to the town.

A good "at work" image, though it does look from another time for various reasons, including the fact that I thought wind turbines were no longer mounted on this type of frame. The image does look a little grainy - intentional?

Apologies Gary, will do better next time. Although I am not the best with scratch removal. It does annoy me that this is brand new negative from a high street developer and it has scratches on it. Goes to show the art of looking after peoples photographs when io is otside the forum of digital is dying.
Thanks for the kind comment none the less.

Robert.

Eurobusiness. A good documentary shot. Its interesting that I can't tell who are the Poles and who are the Scots in this image. Hate to point out the scratched neg but I find it distracting and it's one of my pet hates.

A very good tonal range under that great grain of Ilford Xp-2 Super make this so appealing to me, Robert! It has that special look and feel of timeless photography outside the many one-day-fashions. The excellent details over almost the whole range present more than enough regions for the eye to wander and discover. And your perspective was just about perfect for keeping the depth/distance.

What are those many white spots there? They don't bother me very much but just out of curiosity.

Cheers!

Nick

Thank you very much George. Your comments are very kind and much appreciated. The Leica is fabulous to use wuth colour film and some of the results that I have been getting are very interesting to say the least. The saturation of the colours is fantastic and the detail in the shots is superb. The lenses that I mainly use are the Voigtlanders, which give seriously good return for the money. I can't recommend this type of photography to you enough. Get the camera and enjoy!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by,

Regards,

Robert.

This work with the old Leica and newer color film is fabulous. I've often wondered how it would look, and now you've shown me. I'd pretty much put aside the desire to obtain a couple of new cameras, but you've gone and changed all that for me. It helps that color negative film has enough latitude to give good results over a 5 to 6 stop range. Once I get my "new" old camera I'm going to work with Velvia and see what happens. Thanks again!
