nice observation, Todd!
looks like the "second nature" of this street lamp. normally it stands up straight - "erected and proud"  , and here on this shadow you`ve shown that it looks rather more "miserable, depressed and shy". so it makes for a nice contrast!

I bet many people before were looking at those stairs and have thought: "This is certainly not a subject for taking a picture!". And you`ve prooved, that this theory is not right! Great simple, powerful abstract!
