I guess your head works like a very special plug-in for PS: the imagination factory.
Just for fun, mentally, I removed the scenario and the wings, and tried to see this horsing running on the camp... Just tried to imagine your original shot.

Like the other one, a show of tones and colors.
But this serie keeps remembering me that the Fall is on the way.

The technique is really great: beautiful tones&light, amazing exposure and DOF. Good job!
The image is much better!
The happiness from our people is a example to the world; no matter the problems and difficulties, it is not difficult to find a smile... I don't want to complete with my politic opinions here (LOL, satiric LOL).
However, I like the different reactions I note on the picture: happiness, sadness, shyness(?) and indifference.

Loved the street; I can hear the bass and guitar chords from Pink Floyd when they plaid there...
