I think Vermeer would have liked this version. Certainly he would approve the lovely model! The tilt of the image is very bold and completely effective. And the tones of her face, eyes and hair are very nicely rendered.

To me the redness of the thread adds nothing. If anything, I would have preferred a white thread. The composition and idea are simply marvelous, though.

Very provocative and well executed. As effective as the collage is, a single frame of that beautifully poised foot would certainly be able to hold its own.
