Not bad. It might be more interesting if you shot it from directly beneath the hub with the blades arranged symmetrically, or using a longer exposure and catching some movement, or perhaps with flash AND a long exposure, to get sharpness within movement.

Goldens have the best faces... such happiness expressed on them! I agree that the framing seems a little off... trying placing your dog's head off centre, in this case I would have put the dog's head more to the right in the frame and shown more of the body as well. This would eliminate all that empty space on the right and let us see more of your beautiful dog. I get to pick up my slides today from my second Golden Retriever litter of puppies... I can't wait to see the little balls of fur!

yeah, i dont use photoshop, I dont really know all of the features and stuff and most of my little ventures dont work out that well, so I just stick with what I can get on film (or digital)

I think you have captured a really great "expression" of your pup, but the background isn't really doing anything for teh shot. As a suggestion, you might consider cropping the picture way down. I have tried it. I also used photoshop to tweak the levels just a bit to make it brighter and tweaked the saturation just a wee bit to give her coat a nice shine. These are just suggestions though. I like the shot very much and lucky you to have such a cute dog, slober and all

Strong composition and a wonderful "about". I especially like the way you can see the land roll on behind the castle. You're right, it's good to be Queen, and good to aim high. Well done.

It's clear from her expression that she adores you. It's also clear she's been rooting in the dirt - she has ring around the nose. Wonderful capture of a devoted dog. Well done!

Congratulations on your beautiful castle, Janelle. You photographed it from a nice angle here. I recommend you take more photographs of it. Explore different angles and try out different compositions. Try placing the castle off-center. Try getting real close and exagerating its dimensions through an unusual perspective, perhaps.
