Infrared photography is not a hard medium to dive into. My first couple rolls were not great, but after a while, you learn how to expose and focus properly and you also learn what subjects give the best results. I use a red filter for all my black and white IR, and a yellow filter for my colour infrared, though red can also produce interesting effects. Black and white IR can be easily developed in a darkroom like you would any other B&W film.

Excellent capture. Infrared film is an area that fascinates me (intimidates me as well) so I haven't tried it out yet, but you seem to handle it very well. Was this shot with a red filter?
